The tourist area (KDL) North of Cam Ranh peninsula is experiencing positive changes when businesses put projects into operation. Currently, the Department of Tourism is preparing an application for recognition of a national tourist area in the Northern Cam Ranh peninsula.

More projects come into operation

Last summer, the province's tourism had a strong recovery with an increase in the number of visitors. In which, hotels and resorts in the North Cam Ranh peninsula resort (Bai Dai area) are chosen by many tourists. The prosperity of tourism in general and the Northern Cam Ranh peninsula has created a motivation for investors to accelerate the construction progress and put the projects into operation. The latest, on October 4, Tran Thai Cam Ranh Company put The Arena resort and entertainment complex into operation. With a room fund of more than 3,500 tourist apartments and more than 120 shop villas, The Arena is expected to become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

By the end of September 2022, this area has 40 projects that have been granted investment certificates with a total registered capital of more than VND 31,700 billion. Up to now, the total capital mobilized and deployed for construction has reached nearly VND 28,500 billion, an increase of VND 480 billion compared to the second quarter of 2022.

According to Management Board of Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Area, at present, investors are speeding up the progress to soon put the project into operation. In particular, the investor of the resort project Avani Cam Ranh Resort & Villas has completed the leveling construction, O&M building and is completing the villas and ancillary items such as: restaurants, reception house, spa, and technical house. In addition, projects such as: Marriott Cam Ranh Bay Resort & Spa, Lavila Marina Cam Ranh Bay, Nha Trang Seahorse Resort & Spa… are also under construction.

More and more excitement

Up to now, Bai Dai area has become a favorite resort of domestic and international tourists. Many visitors to Khanh Hoa have chosen to stay at resorts here instead of returning to Nha Trang as before. Last summer, hotels and resorts here always had quite high room rates, up to 80% on weekends. On Tripadvisor.com (the world's largest travel website), the resorts in Bai Dai are highly rated. Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism assessed that the Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Area is developing gradually towards the destination of being a national tourist destination, which is the spearhead of the province's tourism. Projects in the Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Resort have come into operation, contributing to enriching the province's resort tourism products, especially in the high-end segment. Currently, the department is advising the Provincial People's Committee to prepare an application for recognition of the national tourist area of ​​the Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula.
