After welcoming tourists from Uzbekistan, from the end of this October, Khanh Hoa will welcome tourists on the direct flights from Kazakhstan. The arrival of visitors from Central Asia will contribute to diversifying international visitors to the land of Agarwood.

From June to August 2022, Amega Travel Co., Ltd. has organized about 10 charter flights to bring tourists from Uzbekistan to Khanh Hoa. The good signals from the Uzbek tourist market have added confidence to travel agencies to boldly exploit the Central Asian tourist market. Recently, Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited based in Nha Trang (Anex Company) said that the company will coordinate with Vietjet Air to bring tourists on direct flights from Almaty city, Kazakhstan to Khanh Hoa from October 26.

Tourists from Central Asian countries will diversify Khanh Hoa's international visitors.

According to the plan, Anex Company and Vietjet Air will operate the Cam Ranh - Almaty route with Airbus A330 aircraft (maximum capacity of 260 passengers) with a frequency of 2 flights per week from the end of October 2022 to the end of April 2023. “In the past, the source of Kazakh visitors to Khanh Hoa was not much because there were no direct flights. From the beginning of 2022, the company has planned to exploit this market. In addition, a number of tourists from Eastern European countries and Russia also transited in Kazakhstan to travel to Vietnam. However, the number of Russian tourists wishing to travel is very small because the war situation between Russia and Ukraine is still quite tense, "said Nguyen Duc Tan - Director of Anex Company.

Each flight from Kazakhstan to Khanh Hoa will have from 180 to 200 tourists. Tourists will stay from 7 to 28 days at hotels, resorts in Nha Trang and Bai Dai area. In addition to the resort, tourists will take a tour of the sea and islands, visit the monuments and landscapes of the Nha Trang city (city tour), have fun at VinWonders Nha Trang and Hon Tam, experience mud baths, and go shopping… Mr. Bui Quoc Dai - Deputy CEO of Anex Company said: “The Kazakh tourist market has many similarity with the Russian market. Visitors from here have the need to relax and stay for a long time. This country also uses Russian in communication, while Khanh Hoa already has tourist facilities and services to serve Russian tourists, so it is easy to satisfy. However, Vietnam is not a traditional or attractive market for Kazakh visitors, so in the first flights, the company invited a lot of travel agents in Kazakhstan to survey Khanh Hoa's tourism products. If there is a good sign, the company can increase the frequency of flights."

In 2016, the National Administration of Tourism organized a tourism promotion in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan with more than 50 participating businesses. After, Sunlight Travel Company cooperated with Sunday Airlines to organize charter flights from Kazakhstan to Khanh Hoa with a frequency of one trip every 9 days. However, in the following years, Kazakh tourists no longer fly directly to Khanh Hoa but fly to Ho Chi Minh City and then move to Nha Trang. Therefore, the fact that Anex Company brought Kazakh visitors is a good sign of Khanh Hoa tourism in the context that many major tourist markets have not yet returned. The Almaty - Cam Ranh route not only attracts Kazakh tourists but also attracts more visitors from Central Asian countries and even Russians. “Kazakhstan is a good potential market if developed in the right direction. We hope that the Government, agencies, departments and divisions create favorable conditions to welcome guests, especially visa policy, entry procedures, and invitations.
