No Travel Programs or Advertising for Binh Ba Island, Hon Chut Island, and Binh Hung Island

On July 7, 2024, the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism issued Document No. 1727/SDL-QLDL to travel service providers in the province, regarding tourism activities on Binh Ba Island, Hon Chut Island, and Binh Hung Island. This action follows Decision No. 44/2015/QD-TTg dated September 22, 2015, by the Prime Minister, which outlines regulations for ensuring security and safety at the Cam Ranh military base (Decision No. 44/2015/QD-TTg). Article 37, Clause 4 of this decision prohibits the development or promotion of tourism activities in the “Mui Hoi, Binh Ba Island, Hon Chut Island – Binh Hung Island” area. The Department of Tourism had previously issued Document No. 1001/SDL-QLDL on June 6, 2022, directing travel businesses to cease organizing and promoting tourism activities in these locations according to the Prime Minister's directive.

The Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism insists that travel agencies strictly comply with Decision No. 44/2015/QD-TTg dated September 22, 2015. They are required to immediately review and halt any travel programs and advertising related to Binh Ba Island, Hon Chut Island, and Binh Hung Island. Violations will be subject to severe penalties as per regulations.
