Khanh Hoa welcomes nearly 600,000 tourists during the National Day holiday on September 2

This year's National Day holiday on September 2 lasts four days, and the weather is wonderful, making it convenient for people to visit, travel, enjoy the cuisine, and the relaxing atmosphere to close a summer and inspire them to prepare for the new school year. However, this is not the peak time for tourism because many families and companies have traveled in the summer months and the National Day on September 2 is close to the school year for students at all levels; therefore, the number of tourists to Khanh Hoa tends to increase slightly. Accordingly, the total number of tourists to Khanh Hoa for sightseeing and relaxation reached 578,219, and the average room occupancy rate of accommodation facilities was about 70.86%; Bai Dai, Doc Let areas and closed resorts on the islands had an occupancy rate of 70% or more, with some resorts having an occupancy rate of over 90%; Nha Trang city had an average occupancy rate of about 60% or more (mainly focusing on the 3-5 star segment and equivalent) while some hotels along Tran Phu beach had an occupancy rate of over 70%. During this time, Khanh Hoa tourism industry has always prepared resources to serve tourists; a large number of tourist attractions and entertainment spots have offered a variety of new products and incentive programs to maximize the needs of tourists; tourism programs have been also refreshed to offer different experiences to tourists.

From August 31 to September 3, Cam Ranh International Airport served about 450 flights with about 76,845 passengers (increasing by 8% over the same period last year). Specifically, there were 196 domestic flights with 28,790 passengers, and 254 international flights with 48,055 passengers. The number of domestic tourists traveling by air did not increase compared to the holiday in 2023; however, due to the convenience of roads (the expressway from Ho Chi Minh City to Khanh Hoa), many tourists from provinces in the South Central Coast, Central Highlands and from Ho Chi Minh City traveled to Khanh Hoa by personal vehicles.

Although the number of tourists was quite large, the security and safety situation during the National Day on September 2 was guaranteed, tourism businesses strictly complied with regulations on fire prevention and fighting, security and order, food safety and hygiene... The Department of Tourism also strengthened the arrangement of civil servants and employees on duty at office and on mobile phones (24/24) to coordinate in handling related incidents reported by customers.
