Welcome the first flight from Deagu (South Korea) to Nha Trang

On the morning of October 27, 2024 at Cam Ranh International Airport, Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company in collaboration with Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, Tourism Promotion Center, Cam Ranh International Airport and related units held a ceremony to welcome the first flight from Deagu (Korea) to Nha Trang. The first flight numbered VJ 871 with 191 passengers arrived at Cam Ranh International Airport at 11:00 A.M on October 27, 2024. To celebrate the flight, Vietjet held a ceremonial welcome with water salute, presented flowers to the first 20 passengers as well as the flight crew and took souvenir photos. According to the plan of Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company, Deagu – Cam Ranh route will be operated with a frequency of 7 round-trip flights per week, departing from Cam Ranh Airport at 00:20 and arriving at Deagu International Airport at 6:50 (local time, afternoon, departing at 7:50 (local time) at Deagu International Airport and arriving at Cam Ranh International Airport at 11:00).

Currently, the Korea is the largest international tourist market of Khanh Hoa tourism. In 9 months of 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed more than 1.5 million Korean tourists out of 3.5 million international tourists. There are 11 Korean and Vietnamese airlines bringing Korean tourists to Cam Ranh International Airport, and Vietjet Airlines alone has operated 3 routes including Incheon – Cam Ranh, Busan – Cam Ranh and Deagu – Cam Ranh. Due to the increasing number of Korean tourists at the end of the year, airlines have increased flights; according to the statistics of Cam Ranh International Airport, there are now an average of 21 flights per day to take passengers from Korean cities to Cam Ranh International Airport.
