Ready for summer peak season
On April 30 and May 1, the number of tourists to Khanh Hoa is expected to increase. Tourism enterprises have been actively planning to welcome visitors, laying the groundwork for a vibrant summer tourism season.
Positive recovery signal
On the occasion of Hung King Festival, Khanh Hoa welcomed about 55,440 tourists, including 1,000 international visitors and 54,440 domestic visitors. Total revenue reached nearly VND 224 billion. Tourists mainly choose Bai Dai (Cam Lam district) and closed resorts in the islands, with an average occupancy of 84%. Welcoming large number of visitors has helped travel agencies and accommodation establishments timely detect and correct shortcomings and limitations to continue serving visitors better.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of the Department of Tourism said that the Hung King Festival this year has facilitated tourist destinations in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to attract domestic visitors - Khanh Hoa tourism industry market is focusing on exploitation and stimulating demands. In response to the campaign to reopen tourism activities to ensure safety and efficiency, the provincial tourism industry has strengthened promotional activities and stimulated the attraction of tourists before this holiday. Tourism business establishments in the province also actively welcome visitors with a variety of attractive programs and products. Therefore, the pick-up operation takes place safely, without generating complicated information.
Careful preparation in all respects
In order to stimulate the recovery of tourism activities, especially peak tourism, since March, the Department of Tourism has coordinated with Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to organize the famtrip to survey Dak Lak tourism; famtrip program "Nha Trang - Green Journey". The Department also supported and facilitated the reception of 2022 Trans-Vietnamese Caravan with nearly 300 people on April 10 and 11 organized by Nam Chau Travel Trading International Joint Stock Company. In particular, the Department organized the roadshow program "Connecting businesses to stimulate tourism in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in 2022" in Hanoi on April 1-4 with the theme "Nha Trang - Touching the Heart".
Mr. Pham Minh Nhut - Vice President of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, General Director of Hon Tam Nha Trang Sea Joint-Stock Company commented that the upcoming holidays of April 30 and May 1 are expected to increase the number of visitors. In order to better serve visitors in this peak occasion, travel agencies and accommodation establishments are best prepared for human resources, actively renovate and upgrade infrastructure, build beautiful landscapes and green spaces. In addition, a large number of businesses have introduced new products to meet demands of visitors.
Khanh Hoa believes that the domestic tourist market will play a crucial role in preparing for the summer peak tourism season and achieving the tourism sector's objectives by 2022. As a result, the tourism industry will improve the implementation of communication activities, promotion, and demand stimulation to attract tourists, such as organizing the launch of the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism demand stimulus program in 2022 and announcing the Ministry of Tourism's identification of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa; organizing roadshows to promote destinations, visiting and cooperating with businesses in some domestic tourism markets (Hanoi, Hai Phong, HMC – Can Tho); engaging in promotion at important national and international travel expos, seminars, and events; Organizing survey programs to connect products and building regional relations with nearby areas; and hosting Nha Trang Marine Tourism Festival 2022 from June 16 to 19. In addition, the industry will strengthen its use of social media platforms to promote appealing and beautiful imag of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa, and offer a variety of environmentally friendly products for visitors.
The provincial tourism industry aims to welcome more than 1.2 million visitors in 2022, an increase of 100% over 2021, with 1.16 million domestic and 40,000 overseas visitors. Tourism income is expected to reach VND 4,000 billion, an increase of 80% over 2021.
