Khanh Hoa: Approving Khanh Hoa tourism stimulus strategy project for period of 2023-2025 and orientation to 2030

The People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued Decision No. 345/QD-UBND dated February 15, 2023 approving the Khanh Hoa tourism stimulus strategy project for the period of 2023-2025 and orientation to 2030 by destination development and communication activities. As a result, the Project's goal is to carry out destination-building and communication initiatives that will help turn the tourism industry in Khanh Hoa into one of the top travel destinations in Southeast Asia, thus achieving the objectives of Politburo Resolution 09-NQ/TW, dated January 28, 2022, on the construction and development of Khanh Hoa Province through 2030 and its 2045 vision.

A number of strategic tasks are expected to be implemented in phases including: constructing international cultural and artistic events that incorporate the sea's colors and food festival schedules; promoting market research and promotion in accordance with market characteristics; enhancing the effectiveness of digital technology application on the basis of smart devices; creating a brand; Making a large-scale plan for tourism brand promotion programs that is implemented in several cities, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, and Binh Duong; promoting Khanh Hoa tourism on the global media channel and information channels of the world's most prestigious international media companies, including CNN, Reuters, TIME, etc.; and implementing digital transformation in the tourist business to better serve clients and compete with other locations' tourism brands, such as virtual reality (VR) digital tourism, social media marketing, tourism integration 4.0 on mobile devices, artificial intelligence (AI), chatbots, and IoT.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, the Department of Tourism is in charge of leading and coordinating with the members of the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee to conduct research and offer recommendations on the incorporation of tasks and contents into the Steering Committee's annual plan. The requirements of the Project are carried out in line with their responsibilities by the departments, agencies, Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, Cam Ranh International Airport, and local tourism businesses.

Total funding for the project's execution is anticipated to be VND 184,275 billion, of which VND 9,765 billion will come from the Tourism Action Program. The funding for the implementation of calls for socialization from other legal sponsorship and support activities from organizations and individuals is VND 174,510 billion VND.
