Prime Minister green-lights for tourist submarine services in NhaTrang Bay

Accordingly, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Transport to preside over, and coordinate with the Ministry of Defense, the People's Committee of KhanhHoa province and relevant agencies to agree on the scope of operation, rescue plan and management of the pilot implementation of submarine services provided by Vinpearl Joint Stock Company in NhaTrang Bay, KhanhHoa Province to ensure security, safety, environmental conservation and regeneration of ecosystems in NhaTrang Bay. The Prime Minister requested that during the pilot implementation, the relevant agencies regularly inspected and controlled the submarine operation and other support activities to ensure absolute safety. The Ministry of Transportation must check and supplement provisions on submarine operation to adapt to actual circumstances and report to the Prime Minister.

Model of Vinpearl'sDeepView dive boat.

Previously, Vinpearl Joint Stock Company applied for the pilot implementation of tourist submarine services in NhaTrang Bay.  The company will make use of the world's most advanced dive boat, the DeepView 24, manufactured by Triton Submarine, USA.  Electric dive boat can dive to a maximum depth of 100 metres, reaching a highest speed of 3 nautical miles/hour, equivalent to 5.5 km/h. Dive boat is completely noiseless whilst it has no discernable impact on local marine ecology. The Deep View 24 is capable of accommodating 24 tourists, offering visitors a breath-taking "panoramic view" of the undersea world.

DeepView 24 submarine has been brought to NhaTrang Bay by Vinpearl Joint Stock Company. Currently, the Company is carrying out procedures for the operation license in NhaTrang Bay.
