Online seminar on attracting investment, connecting with Australian partners
On the morning of December 2, 2021, an online seminar on attracting investment and connecting with Australian partners took place at the meeting room of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee. Attending the meeting, as for Khanh Hoa province, were Mr. Le Huu Hoang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Departments of Finance, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Construction, Information and Communication, and representatives of associations and businesses of electricity and telecommunications and as for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, were Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Sydney. In addition, there were leaders and businesses from New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland from Australia.
At the seminar, session 1 agenda included an overview of investment attraction policies and Vietnam and Australia trade situation, presentation of laws and policies related to foreign investment in Vietnam from a representative of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, reports on the bilateral trade situation between Vietnam and Australia from the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Session 2 agenda on attracting investment and connecting Vietnamese localities and businesses with Australian partners included presentations from localities and businesses of both sides on information technology, telecommunications, and real estate development, renewable energy... As for Khanh Hoa province, Mr. Le Huu Hoang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee gave a speech and introduced the projects calling for investment.

Through working sessions and seminars, Khanh Hoa province has promoted potential strengths in tourism, introduced projects calling for investment for marine economic development and real estate developmeny including tourism and resort real estate. Currently, the Australian tourist is a key international tourist market of Khanh Hoa. In order to implement the Project on promoting tourism to key international tourist markets, the Department of Tourism is coordinating with Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company to ask international airlines to open direct flights from Australian localities to Cam Ranh International Airport, faciliting to attract international tourists in the near future.
