On November 10, 2021, the Business Conference on Developing Trade and Economic Cooperation between Saint Petersburg City and localities of Vietnam was held online platform with the participation of the Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Affairs of Saint Petersburg city; Leaders of the Committees of the Saint Petersburg City: Industrial, Creative and Trade Policy; Investment; Tourism development; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russia Federation to Vietnam; Leaders of the Vietnamese Community in Russia, the Vietnamese Businessmen's Association in Saint Petersburg city; Leaders of provinces and cities of Vietnam... and hundreds of businesses of the Russian Federation and Vietnam. The conference is one of the important activities in the series of activities of the 14th Saint Petersburg International Innovation Forum taking place from November 10 to November 12, 2021 to promote trade and economic cooperation between localities of the Russian Federation and Vietnam in general and businesses of the two countries in particular.

Before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide in 2020, the Russian tourist was always a very important traditional market of Khanh Hoa tourism industry with the second largest number of visitors, accounting for 20 to 25% of total visitors, a steady growth of visitors year by year and the source of visitors with the longest average number of days of stay, particularly, one Russian guest could stay for about 14 days on average, and large average spending. Therefore, it is the market that will be prioritized to attract and welcome visitors when Khanh Hoa province pilots to welcome international tourists using vaccine passports.
