Khanh Hoa province announces plans to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations (September 21, 1973-September 21, 2023), in order to promote the most important partnership between Vietnam and Japan in general and Khanh Hoa province with Japan in particular, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 3001/KH-UBND on 30 March, 2023 to establish diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan. This plan aims to expand cooperation and mutual assistance between individuals and organizations in Khanh Hoa province with Japanese individuals and organizations in all fields. It aims to coordinate activities to promote investment, exchange delegation, promote image, culture, people, Vietnam in Japan and vice versa.

Some of the main activities of the plan include: Political diplomacy, economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy, in which there are some main contents such as:  Invite and welcome delegations of Japanese diplomatic missions in Vietnam and high-ranking Japanese delegations to visit, work and participate in international events organized by Khanh Hoa province . Exchange and promotion activities of trade, investment, economic cooperation, tourism, education, health, culture, digital transformation are also promoted. It also organizes tourism survey groups, famtrips of the Japanese delegations to the province, invite delegations to participate in a number of tourism events in Khanh Hoa to promote tourism, research, prepare suitable programs for tourism when there are direct flights from Japan to Nha Trang. Contests to learn about Vietnam-Japan relations, exhibitions about Japan's country, people and culture, cultural exchange events and festivals between Vietnam and Japan in Khanh Hoa are also organized. The plan on assignment of organization and implementation is assigned to the Department of Foreign Affairs to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Tourism, the Management Board of Van Phong Economic Zone, Department of Culture and Sports, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Education and Training, Department of Information and Communication, Department of Finance, Provincial Public Security, Provincial Military Command, Provincial Border Guard Command, Union of Friendship Organizations, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities organize the implementation of the assigned contents according to the plan.
