Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism and Bamboo Airways prepare for tourism stimulus programs

At the meeting, Bamboo Airways also reported the contents of cooperation to restore domestic tourism and prepare to welcome international tourists with the following contents: In the period of social distancing, it would apply the green flight-travel bubble process, charter tourism with a closed chain, tourists were guaranteed to be safe and controlled from the airline to the travel agency and resort, the processes were directly handed over to tourists and strictly managed. In the new normal period, the domestic market and tourism will follow the safety criteria from green zone to green zone. For the implementation and coordination work, Bamboo Airways also proposed the Department of Tourism to support connections to tourism businesses, communication, and announce the expected time to welcome international tourists with “vaccine passports”, to support discounts from tourism businesses and handle related situations arising during implementation. After listening to the proposal of the representative of Bamboo Airways, the leader of the Department of Tourism also informed Bamboo Airways about the programs to implement tourism recovery activities under the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee including: Advising the Provincial People's Committee to develop a draft plan to welcome international tourists with “vaccine passports” to Khanh Hoa and submitting it to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Government for consideration and approval. In the current period, the safety criteria and standards will be developed for the operation of accommodation, tour operators, destinations, and service providers to welcome domestic tourists in order to create favorable conditions for development of Khanh Hoa tourism. On September 23, 2021, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued a plan to implement the tasks of members of the Civil Mobilization Subcommittee on cultural, sports and tourism activities in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, which assigns the Vietnam Tourism Administration to research, implement, and facilitate travel for domestic and international tourists with vaccination certificates, in accordance with the international accreditation system. In addition, it also piloted to welcome international tourists in Phu Quoc (Kien Giang), on that basis, to gradually prepare to expand destinations throughout the country, including Ha Long (Quang Ninh), Hoi An (Quang Nam), Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Da Lat (Lam Dong). The Department of Tourism also proposed that in case of stimulus program, it was necessary to support Khanh Hoa to carry out tourism promotion to connect tourists to Khanh Hoa and coordinate with the airline to implement media promotion activities.

It is known that Bamboo Airways with a fleet of 30 modern aircraft within a wide flight network, and a variety of flexible services, in addition to regular flights, Bamboo Airways also operates charter flights. Recently, Bamboo Airways has successfully tested a direct flight from Hanoi to San Francisco (USA) with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. For the implementation of the above policies when it is approved by the Government and central ministries, Bamboo Airways has proactively launched preferential policies, domestic and foreign tourism stimulus programs, coordinated with Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, the Tourism Association and tourism businesses to build combo packages with preferential prices including, in the immediate future, domestic routes to contribute to recover and promote socio-economic development in the locality where there are departure and arrival routes.
