Khanh Hoa announces plan of tourism industry action program 2023

On January 16, 2023, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a Plan to implement the Khanh Hoa Tourism Industry Action Program 2023, including 9 key tasks with 35 specific tasks that will be implemented by the Department of Tourism together with other departments, localities and related agencies and units in the province this year with the goal of welcoming more than 4 million visitors for the whole industry, increasing more than 3 times the implementation results in 2022. In which 2.5 million domestic tourists and 1.5 million foreign tourists will visit. Total days of guest occupancy aim to be 11.5 million, of which 4.7 million are from domestic tourists and 6.8 million from international visitors. The total annual tourism earnings will be VND 21 trillion.

Khanh Hoa tourism industry experienced an impressive recovery in 2022 with over 2.57 million overnight stays, up 113.83% from the forecast and 4.28 times higher than the same period in the previous year, and more than 6.1 million visitor days, up 179.03% from the forecast and 3.64 times higher than the same period; in which international arrivals reached more than 275 thousand arrivals, an increase of 5.8 times compared to the plan and 11.15 times over the same period, with more than 1.2 million arrivals days, an increase of 5.6 times compared to the plan and 10.11 times in the same period. Realized tourism revenue for the whole year reached VND 13,843.8 billion, equaling 346.09% of the plan and 5.75 times higher than in 2021.
