Community tourism services and tourist attractions to participate in the OCOP program of Khanh Hoa Province in 2021

The Project of implementing the One Commune-One Product (OCOP) Program in Khanh Hoa Province for the period of 2021-2025 is carried out; the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province issued Decision No. 2141/QD-UBND dated July 26, 2021 promulgating the implementation plan for the OCOP program in Khanh Hoa Province in 2021. According to the plan, the project scope includes 8 districts, towns and cities in Khanh Hoa Province and is implemented in 2021; the project objects are goods and services of local origin by industry group: Food, beverages, herbs, handicrafts, decoration, fabrics and garments, rural tourism services and sales including community tourism services and tourist attractions. The collective and private economy is the project focus, namely small-and-medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, production households with business registration.

According to the plan, the products under the OCOP program in 2021 are classified into 4 groups including key industry groups with advantages of each locality; the total number of products oriented to participate in the program is 76 products. Implementation tasks include Conference reviewing the OCOP program for the period of 2018-2020 and deployment to 2021, perfecting Khanh Hoa OCOP organization system, complying with and maintaining the implementation of the annual OCOP cycle, and participating in the implementation of the OCOP program training coures, workshops, conferences and seminars organized by the central government and summarizing 2021 program. The objectives of the Program are to perfect the management and administration system of the OCOP program, encourage products with clear, stable and standardized raw materials, and to perfect at least 76 products with 3 stars at the provincial level. Forms of production and business organization are developed in the direction of increasing community benefits, contributing to rural economic development towards endogenous development and adding value, improving the quality of human resources for state officials in the OCOP system and leaders of economic entities participating in the program. Trade promotion programs and brand promotion of OCOP products are intensified and organized at provincial and national cultural and tourism events; publications are editted for promotion through the system of tourist routes, rest stops and scenic spots. The program budget is VND 2.7 billion, including the provincial budget and reciprocal capitals.

 

According to the contents of the Program, the organization and implementation is assigned to the provincial departments and branches. In particular, the Department of Tourism is assigned to assume the prime responsibility and coordinate with the district-level Steering Committee for the National Target Programs and local People's Committees to provide information on points and centers introducing OCOP products, and to mobilize and encourage travel agencies to arrange tourists to visit introduction points and centers of OCOP products to promote and introduce local products.
