China Southern Airlines restores Guangzhou - Cam Ranh regular route as of September 2023

According to the notice dated August 16, 2023 of China Southern Airlines from September 27, 2023, the airline will officially restore the regular route of Guangzhou - Cam Ranh, in the first period from September 27, 2023 to October 27, 2023, flights will be operated with a frequency of 03 round-trip flights/week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The departure time at Baiyun Airport (Guangzhou, China) is 13h40, arriving at Cam Ranh International Airport at 15h10 (flight code CZ6049) and departing from Cam Ranh International Airport at 16h00 to Guangzhou, China at 19h20 (flight code CZ6050). The aircraft used for the Guangzhou – Cam Ranh route is Boeing 737-800.

China Southern Airlines' restoration of the Guangzhou - Cam Ranh regular route from September 2023 will contribute to attracting tourists during the peak period of international visitors to Vietnam in particular and Khanh Hoa in particular. Baiyun Airport (Guangzhou, China) is a large airport, as well as a connection and transhipment points at large airports of countries such as Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, the Guangzhou-Cam Ranh route was operated very effectively, but the route was interrupted after nearly 3 years of the pandemic, so far China Southern Airlines has decided to restore the route.

At the same time, in order to restore and accelerate tourism development, since August 15, 2023, Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP amending Article 1 of Resolution 32/NQ-CP of the Government has officially taken effect, in which visa is exempted for citizens of the following countries: the Federal Republic of Germany, Republic of France, Republic of Italy, Kingdom of Spain, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russian Federation, Japan, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom Kingdom of Denmark, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Norway, Republic of Finland and Republic of Belarus, with a temporary residence period of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of the type of passport, purpose of entry, on the basis of meeting the conditions of entry in accordance with law and Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP on application of electronic visas for citizens of countries, territories, international border gates allowing foreigners to enter and exit by electronic visa, according to the content of the Resolution; Khanh Hoa has Cam Ranh International Airport Border Gate.

With favorable conditions on policies of the State and airlines reopening international routes to Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa, it is expected that in the last months of 2023, which are the peak months of international visitors, Khanh Hoa tourism industry will have an impressive growth in international arrivals and tourism revenue, achieving the objectives set by the tourism industry action program.
