Agreement on the policy of developing a pilot plan to welcome international tourists with vaccine passports by Charter flights to Khanh Hoa Province

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province has agreed on the policy of building a pilot plan to welcome international tourists with vaccine passports by Charter flights to Khanh Hoa province at the proposal of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism and assigned the Department of Tourism to assume the prime responsibility as well as coordinate with the Department of Health and Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to develop a detailed plan, collect opinions from departments, agencies, localities and relevant units and organizations, then report to the Tourism Development Steering Committee before finalizing and submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration or decision, or reporting, requesting competent authorities for consideration and decision to serve as the basis for immplementation.

In the process of developing the plan, it is necessary to pay attention to certain contents such as: Updating instructions and directions of the Government, the Prime Minister and central ministries and branches and related contents, carry out pilot programs on a small scale with little impacts on socio-economic activities and people's life, implement with a timeframe suitable to the reality of the province's Covid-19 disease prevention and control. A close coordination mechanism will be built between functional agencies of the province, ministries, central branches, local authorities and relevant organizations and individuals, while specific and clear tasks are assigned to organizations, individuals in the course of implementation and handling problems incurred. The Department of Tourism is assigned to report to the Provincial People's Committee before July 31, 2021.

Currently, Kien Giang province is assigned by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to develop and study a pilot plan to welcome international tourists with vaccine passports to Phu Quoc City in 6 months, expected to be deployed in October 2021.

Cam Ranh International Airport will welcome a large number of tourists by Charter flights.
