2023 sailing race between Hong Kong and Nha Trang to organize

A meeting with a representative of Saigon Tourist Travel Service Company Limited was held at Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism on March 16, 2023, to discuss the planning for the 2023 Hong Kong-Nha Trang sailing race in October 2023. Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh- the director of the Department of Tourism, a representative of the Saigon Tourist Travel Company Limited, and professional departments from within the Department attended the meeting. An reward presentation for sailing ships that arrive early is anticipated on October 28, 2023.

The race's starting line is at the port of Hong Kong, and Ana Marina Nha Trang is where it ends. At the meeting, the race's organizers also suggested that the Department of Tourism coordinate with the competent authorities to support, assist the security, port, and associated processes, and coordinate to construct programs and activities outside of the competition to boost marketing and promotion of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa's tourism image.

The Hong Kong-Nha Trang sailing race was run for the first time since 2004; the race had been scheduled for 2021 but was postponed owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. The marketing of the race has made Nha Trang a popular travel destination for many foreign travelers after over 20 years of successfully staging this event, consequently improving promotion, advertising, and luring travelers to Nha Trang-Khanh Hoa.
